Calabria's boat history began in 1987 with the introduction of their first tournament boat, the Shortline Comp™. Over the past 15 years of building inboard and outboard ski boats from their factory in Merced, California many things have changed in the industry, but many things have stayed the same. These tried and tested boats have a strong competition heritage derived from our sponsorship of many major ski tournaments. With the popularity of wakeboarding exploding across America, Calabria introduced the Cal-Air series in 1999, each incorporating their patented Pure Vert wake system that adds ballast without effecting handling characteristics. Calabria has also patented the first slotted swim step to allow hydofoilers to put on their gear more safely.
