Their first trip to the Rose Bowl was a thrilling and long awaited event for Arizona State University. Winning the 1986 contest made it an even more memorable experience.  The Athletic Department wanted to create a unique memento that captured all of the pride and dedication that went into the victory year. They also wanted a piece to be a flexible tool, suitable for everything from souvenirs to fund raising and key contributor appreciation. Recognition Concepts offered the perfect tool for the job.  This bright, multi-faceted illustration depicts the effort and intensity of this successful team under the leadership of Coach John Cooper. The image of Sun Devil Stadium blended into the Rose Bowl creatively summarizes Arizona State's historical achievement. The composition was designed to be used with or without individualization. Coach Cooper hand signed 100 prints which were framed and sold to help support the General Scholarship Fund. Optional portraiture was added next to the coach on some of the pieces to honor and thank key contributors involved in the team's march to the Bowl victory.  The original artwork was personalized for the coach with portraits of his wife and two children.
