 I was
approached at a trade show by a customer looking for an unusual way of rewarding employees
who demonstrated the guts and ingenuity to shake up traditional ways of doing things and
try something new. Her thought was a crystal hand grenade. I
quickly found out that they are few and far between. Finally, I went right to the top
crystal design firm in the country, Innocast
Execuline, and worked directly with the
company's President to design what has come to be known as the "KABOOM"
award. My customer is thrilled and so are the surprised recipients!
Each grenade is hand-formed from molten crystal, then mounted on a black
marble base. The personalized brass plate is added to include the recipient's name and
date of presentation.
